The Huntington Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the township offices located at 750 Trolley Road, York Springs, PA 17372 to consider the application of the Susquehanna Quarter Midget Association relating to property it leases at 821 S. Ridge Road, York Springs, PA 17372 (Adams County Tax Parcel No. 22I04-0129B–000). The property is located in the Commercial-Industrial (CI) zoning district. The applicant proposes to use the property to host quarter midget car racing events.  The applicant is appealing the zoning officer’s determination that, although the applicant organization meets the definition of a “Club, Clubhouse or Lodge, Private” under Section 27-302 of the Huntington Township Zoning Ordinance (a permitted use in the CI zoning district), the applicant’s actual proposed use of the property to host car racing events requires that the applicant apply for a special exception under Section 27-104 of the Ordinance.
